LGBTSr Adds a Group Page to Facebook

LGBTSr has long had a Facebook page, currently with over 4,100 followers. It was finally time to establish a separate, supporting group page where people can post, share, discuss, and explore issues important to us. And, most importantly, to simply know we’re not alone. It’s a closed group to ensure privacy. Here’s a short announcement about it I shared this morning. You can find us and join us at LGBTSR Group.

“This is just getting started, a discussion/support group as a supplement to the LGBTSr Facebook Page and website. More details to follow, but it is a closed group to ensure privacy for  the people it’s intended to serve and support. Feel free to join! It will take a while to get it really active, but I’ve seldom been stopped when I had a vision.

There are some basic rules for the group, and this is #1: This is a group intended for a vital but vulnerable population: the aging/over-50 LGBTQ+ population. Accessibility is important but so is privacy, so the group is closed. Differences of opinion and experience are expected, but conflict and discrimination don’t belong here. Thanks, Mark.”
